CHEMICAL PEELS

Chemical peels are some of the safest and most effective facial treatments available. Designed to improve a number of different skin conditions, chemical peels exfoliate the skin for a youthful, healthy glow.

Chemical peels use a chemical exfoliant to safely remove the outermost layer of skin to reveal a smoother skin texture. Chemical peels are an affordable, effective way to target fine lines and wrinkles, dry skin, skin imperfections and acne.

Chemical peels help to stimulate new skin cells and tissue and improve skin texture and tone. Chemical peels exfoliate the skin to reveal a smoother, more radiant complexion.

+ What should I expect during my treatment?

This treatment takes approximately one hour.

During your treatment, a LUXE team member will apply a gentle chemical exfoliant to the skin. The exfoliant will remove dead skins revealing smoother, more youthful skin.

+ How many treatments do I need?

Chemical peels do not require multiple treatments but for optimal results we encourage clients to discuss a maintenance schedule with a LUXE staff member.

+ What should I do to prepare for my appointment?

Prior to your appointment, avoid UV exposure for 10 days and avoid the use of self tanners. Refrain from using an exfoliant or retinol 48-72 hours prior to your treatment.

+ What area of the body can be treated with a chemical peel?

Chemical peels can be performed on almost any area of the body! Most commonly they are on the face but some clients seek treatment on their neck, decollete or back.

+ Who is a good candidate for a chemical peel?

Chemical peels can be used to address a variety of skin concerns such as acne, acne scarring, hyperpigmentation, sun damage, dry skin, fine lines and wrinkles, skin texture and overall dull, tired skin.

+ What can I expect after my treatment?

Clients may report redness and irritation 1-3 hours immediately following a chemical peel treatment. You may or may not notice skin flaking and peeling for up to one week following your treatment. The amount of flaking or peeling differs for everyone and can cause minimal downtime in some clients. Best results after 10 days.

+ What type of aftercare is required?

Clients will be required to use an SPF for at least 2 weeks following a chemical peel. You will be asked to refrain from washing your face for 24-48 hours after the treatment.
